Winter Preparedness
Weather in Alberta can be unpredictable, and blizzards, ice storms, high winds, and blowing snow can develop quickly during the winter months! These conditions can easily threaten life and property. Alberta also experiences extreme cold temperatures during the winter, reaching as low as minus 40 degrees or colder. These temperatures are life-threatening and put people and animals at risk. Being prepared for these conditions is key!
