ECDC MIGHTY LEARNERS PROGRAM!
Children need to engage in Nature! We know that children who spend more time outside show less anxiety, build better core strength, explore and become more confident in less structured environments and simply become increasingly excited to spend more time independently learning. The intention of the Mighty Learners Program is to nurture their love for nature! Through these sessions we will explore topics such as gardening, indigenous bug and animal species, environmental stewardship, food security and other skills to help foster a sense of helping our world to be a better place. Feel free to call our centre to learn more about what we will be doing as well as subsidy opportunities to help your family balance child care and work.
STIRRING UP MEMORIES COOKBOOK
The children at ECDC present to you the “Stirring Up Memories” cookbook. This little book of love is a compilation of photos, stories and recipes shared by our parents and children at the child care centre. We want to express our sincere thank you to Pembina Pipeline and Vermilion Energy for the funding to make this possible to distribute to all of our families! Enjoy and share with us on our FB page photos and feedback if you try out one of these great recipes!
10 YEAR ANNIVERSARY
The ECDC is celebrated 10 years of providing care to children in the community in 2020. Read the ECDC 10 year anniversary newspaper to learn more about milestones achieved over the last 10 years.
The ECDC would like to acknowledge and thank the generous companies who sponsor programs at the ECDC and the contributions they make to support families and children at the Centre. Click here to read more about the programs and the companies who support them!
sponsorships
The Early Childhood Development Centre wishes to thank Vermilion Energy, Weyerhaeuser, Cenovus, IGA, ACR, Hayduk Picker and Heli Range, and Pembina Pipelines for their generous contributions to the program.
This funding will be supporting families struggling due to economic conditions, supporting nutrition, swimming lessons, and outdoor engagement with Eagle Point Blue Rapids.
Thank You Vermillion Energy!
The ECDC team, wants to share a big Thank You, to Vermilion Energy, for their continued sponsorship of our nutrition program! This long standing sponsor has been committed to our program since 2011! Their generosity, but also, understanding of the importance of quality care, has always been appreciated. It is heart-filling that the staff at Vermilion Energy, all these years, have always had a heart for what families struggle with. Community builders supporting families and helping out in this way is what makes Drayton Valley great. We are so very fortunate that our families are so kindly cared for.
