Riverview Cemetery

Riverview Cemetery is a beautiful and serene 11-acre cemetery located approximately 1 km east of town on Twp Rd 492.  It offers plenty of trees, a flower and shrub bed, as well as a gazebo to sit, reflect, and take in the nature around you.  This cemetery is maintained by the Town’s Public Works department which includes, landscaping, mowing, pruning, and snow removal on roads during the winter months.  There are walk-through gates in 4 different locations, as well the main gates which are open Monday-Friday from [exact times].

When selecting a burial space for yourself or a loved one, there are several options to meet your needs.  Please note, with whichever burial type you choose there will be a Perpetual Care Fee in addition to the standard plot fees.  The Perpetual Care Fee covers the ongoing costs of maintenance at the cemetery.  

Standard Plot

• A standard gravesite is 5’ x 10’
• A standard plot will accommodate one casket, as well as three urns, or four urns with no casket.
• It is mandatory that all casket burials use either a concrete liner (purchased through the Town) or a vault (supplied through the funeral home)
• 2023 Rates (includes Perpetual Care and GST)
  • Resident: $708.75
  • Non-Resident: $984.38
  • Opening and closing fees apply at the time of burial

Cremation Plot

• A cremation plot is 3’ x 5’
• A cremation plot can accommodate up to 2 urns
• When preparing for a cremation burial the hole will be dug to 16” around and 24” deep.  If you have a special urn that requires a larger hole, please discuss this when purchasing
• 2023 Rates (includes Perpetual Care and GST)
  • Resident: $472.50
  • Non-Resident: $590.63
  • Opening and closing fees apply at the time of burial

Columbarium

• Columbarium is made of granite and contains 64 niches
• The Columbarium is located in the middle of the cemetery near the Gazebo
• Each niche can accommodate two urns with a maximum size of 12” high and 7” wide
• Inside measurements: 12.5” wide x 12.5” long x 14” deep
• A standard bronze plaque is included with the price of the niche, as well as the first opening and closing.  If the niche is meant for 2 people, the plaque will need to be ordered with both names on it. 
• Additional date plates can be added at a later date for a fee
• 2023 Rates (includes Perpetual Care and GST)
  • Resident: $1485.75
  • Non-Resident: $1596.00
  • A second plaque can be purchased for a fee.
  • Opening and closing fees apply for the second opening
