💦Aquatic Centre Shutdown Update – Week One💦

After our first week of shutdown, we’re happy to report that work is progressing well and we remain on schedule.

Our pools have now been successfully drained, and our team is hard at work thoroughly cleaning and preparing the basins. This includes scrubbing and acid washing, along with much-needed tile and grout repairs throughout the pool deck, showers, and steam room.

We’re also taking advantage of the shutdown to complete important maintenance on the steam room, patch and repair walls, repaint areas of the facility, and tackle a number of other projects that are difficult to complete while we’re open.

This week’s heavy rainfall presented some unexpected challenges, but our team adapted quickly and kept the shutdown work moving forward.

Even with the weather throwing us a curveball, we’re on pace, on schedule, and making great progress.

A big thank you to our staff and everyone involved in the shutdown work. There is a lot happening behind the scenes to maintain and improve the facility for our community.
