Mayor’s Office Requests

Your Mayor and Council are pleased to support community events, achievements and special occasions.

If your business, community group, service club or non-profit group is based in Drayton Valley and is hosting a public event in Drayton Valley, you can use our online forms to make requests to the Mayor’s Office.

You may request Mayor and/or Council to recognize a variety of events, achievements or awareness activities. Some of the most common requests include:

  • Business Open House/Grand Openings
  • Speeches and special greetings at events
  • Letters of support or recognition
  • Certificates recognizing milestone birthdays/wedding anniversaries
  • Certificates recognizing achievements in business
  • General event participation

If you are requesting the Mayor or a Town Councillor to attend an upcoming special event, provide as much information as possible, including the nature of the event, time, date, location, etc.

If the Mayor or a Councillor is being requested to speak, draft a letter or bring a special greeting, please provide all relevant information, such as names of other attending dignitaries and relevant political or cultural considerations.

Please consider submitting your request at least 30-45 days in advance of the event  Note that completion of this request does not guarantee participation.

Certificates of COngratulations

The Mayor would be pleased to provide a certificate to recognize milestone birthdays or business achievements.

We request a minimum of THREE WEEKS between the receipt of this request and the date you need the certificate.

  • Certificates recognizing milestone birthdays/wedding anniversaries
  • Certificates recognizing achievements in business

The Mayor would be pleased to recognize milestone birthdays and wedding anniversaries 

  • 50th Wedding Anniversaries & every 5 years after
  • 80th Birthdays & every 5 years after

Submit your request at least three (3) THREE WEEKS IN ADVANCE to the date for which the Certificate is needed. Once the request is submitted and processed, the Certificate can be mailed or emailed to you or picked up at the Civic Centre.

The Mayor would be pleased to send a certificate of congratulations to local businesses/volunteer organizations for the following:

  • Private Companies: 25 years and every five years after
  • Registered non-profit organizations, social clubs, schools and religious organizations/places of worship: 15 years and every five years after

Submit your request at least three (3) THREE WEEKS IN ADVANCE to the date for which the Certificate is needed. Once the request is submitted and processed, the Certificate can be mailed or emailed to you or picked up at the Civic Centre.
