Welcome to the 2023 Black Gold Gala sponsored by Pembina Pipeline. Tonight we celebrateseventy years of progress and prosperity; a journey that beganwith the discovery of the Pembina-Cardium Oilfield.
This evening’s proceeds benefit the Town's Zero Fee Tuition Program;a homegrown initiative that removes common financial barriers between local learners and their post-secondary goals.

This special event has been made possible thanks to the time and talents of numerous exceptional Drayton Valley businesses. From the hors d'oeuvres and event decor to our Master of Ceremonies, we've sourced local expertise for the Black Gold Gala to the best of our collective ability.
External vendors were engaged to provide goods and services the Town was unable to obtain locally.
Media support provided by Big West Country, the Drayton Valley and District Free Press and Ink Pot Press. Hors d'oeuvres and midnight lunch catering provided by the Cobblestone and White Bull cafés respectively. Event decor proved by Close to Home Event Rentals. Guest gift bag items sourced from local businesses. Event hosting provided by Master of Ceremonies Danny Hooper. (not exactly a Draytonite, but pretty darn close).
