Disc Golf
Disc golf is a fast-growing sport where players throw frisbee like discs into free-standing nets, with similar rules to golf! Worldwide, disc golf courses have increased from 6,800 courses in 2017 to over 11,000 in 2020! Disc golf is free to play in public parks, and takes about half as long to complete than a round of regular golf. It is available to people of all ages and economic status making it a great recreational activity for everyone!
The Drayton Valley area is home to two disc golf courses, and we are excited to announce that the new course in Ivan To Park is now open! Disc sets are available for rental to guests at the Drayton Valley Community Foundation, or players can bring their own!
Ivan To Park
The Ivan To Disc Golf Course offers a variety of different shots to keep the course fun and interesting! There are elevated tees and open shots for big drives, and baskets placed on hills for difficult putts, as well as the option for an over the water hole and more technical treed holes.
