We Want Your Feedback!
In an effort to provide options for curbside collection services to our residents and to encourage waste reduction, the Town of Drayton Valley is considering a Pay-As-You-Throw (PAYT) waste program where fees for waste will be based on tote size (lower prices for smaller totes!) and we want your feedback!
We understand that there are diverse needs in our community when it comes to curbside collection. From single occupancy to large families, recycling usage and those who choose to compost, every household has unique waste collection needs.
On July 1, 2019 (Canada Day) from 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. we invite you to stop by the Town Council Tent at Rotary Park to participate in a fun public engagement activity on curbside collection!
Three totes will be on-site for you to look at and we ask you to select a tote size that best fits the needs of your household by dropping a poker chip in your tote of choice!
This public engagement exercise is your opportunity to help us consider changes to curbside collection in an effort to encourage waste reduction in your household and to serve you better! Your feedback will help Council make an informed decision on the future of waste collection in Drayton Valley!
These bins will be set up at the Civic Centre from June 24 – 28, 2019 for you to check out as well!
