Founded by the Town of Drayton Valley and co-funded by Brazeau County, the Tuition Assistance Bursary (TAB) program is designed to boost your post-secondary budget through a one-time financial award of up to $5,000.

TAB-aligned institutional partners like the University of Alberta and Northern Lakes College deliver a growing roster of post-secondary programs locally, either via remote learning or at the CETC in Drayton Valley.

Primary Focus: Building the Backbone of our Region

TAB funding up to $5,000

Are you driven to make a difference? TAB's primary focus areas support students pursuing careers essential to the health, safety and well-being of communities across Brazeau County. These roles include emergency services, healthcare careers, and human services.

Secondary Focus: Cultivating Vibrant Rural Communities

TAB funding up to $2,500

Explore your options at one of our partner post-secondary institutions. Some courses are provided via remote learning, and others are taught at the Community Education & Training Centre in Drayton Valley.

Do the Homework

Make sure you fit the application threshold, then complete your Tuition Assistance Bursary application. Show all the funding sources available to you, and explain how the program will affect your circumstances.

Complete Your Course

Funding is contingent upon your successful completion of the program you've chosen. Keep in mind: if you don't finish, you may be obligated to pay back some or all of the TAB funding you've been granted.
