Parks and Trails Green space is essential to Drayton Valley. Parks and open spaces allow members of the community to enjoy the outdoors, whether leisurely or while pursuing an active lifestyle. Our parks also have modern and safe playground equipment for children. Open spaces and parks are located throughout the town, so all residents can easily access them. The walking trails connect all of the parks to one another.
The town has an extensive network of paved walking paths that pass through the parks, quiet residential areas and open spaces. The walking paths are expanding with the town, and are considered an integral part of the town’s infrastructure development. The network of pathways are also accessible in the winter months. Fourteen kilometres of paved walking paths wind through the town of Drayton Valley. The paths are lighted, with benches along the way. Some walking paths lead into the Brazeau County countryside. The Rotary/Pembina Nordic Community Trails are beautiful for walking, hiking, cross country skiing or mountain biking. They range from less than 1 km to almost 3 km, so there’s a trail for everyone. Their beauty is second to none.
The Drayton Valley RV Park is located in the Lion’s West Valley Park (next to the Omniplex) with direct access from Highway 22, an excellent location for visitors to all events in town. |
