Blue Rapids Prov. Rec. Area

A Provincial Recreation Area (PRA) is an area designated primarily for a variety of outdoor recreation activities, including carefully managed motorized off-highway vehicle use in designated locations. The majority of larger PRA lands are usually set aside for environmental protection and other values.

Provincial Recreation Areas can provide a valuable conservation option by consolidating certain kinds of activities within appropriate areas, and diverting those activities from other more sensitive sites nearby.

Currently one facility exits within the PRA and is operated by the Evergreen Shooting Club. There are plans to create a second facility that will focus on off-highway vehicle use. These plans call for a motorized recreation staging area and extensive trail system, south of the bridge.
