Try a Triathlon!

Challenge yourself or your friends! Why not take part in the first annual Drayton Valley Triathlon? The Triathlon is a race involving swimming, biking and running. It’s a great way to get fit!
Set for the weekend of May 12-13, our Triathlon is one of the first sanctioned races in the province for 2012. We are happy to be promoting this event and  proud to encourage fitness and recreation within our community. 

Here’s what you need to know:

Adult Sprint (ages 16+)

May 13, 2012
Swim 750m
Bike 20km
Run 5km

This race can be done individually or as a group of three.  Categories are age based (10 year increments ex. 20-29, 30-39, etc) Prizes will be awarded to the first three finishers in each category and then one prize for the Corporate winner.  Other prizes will be awarded for best dressed, most entries by a business, most fun team, etc.

Kids of Steel (ages 4-15)

3 categories
Bronze: Swim 50m Bike 1.5km Run 500m
Silver: Swim 100m Bike 5km Run 1.5km
Gold: Swim 250m Bike 10km Run 2km

Medals will be awarded to all children, and will promote participation and fitness as the biggest reward.
