Drayton Valley offers a wide range of retail and business services - everything from department store chains to small family-run businesses. You will also find many recreational parks, as well as a newly redeveloped RV Park that is located near the Lions West Valley Park. Drayton Valley also has an extensive and well-maintained walking trail of more than 14 km.

Recreation facilities are definitely not in short supply. Our Drayton Valley Omniplex includes a fitness centre, a skating arena, a walking track and a curling rink. It is also the home of the Drayton Valley Thunder hockey team. In the summer, The Drayton Valley Golf & Country Club features a challenging 18-hole golf course. We also have several other golf courses in the area. In the winter, we have beautiful downhill and cross-country ski trails. The squash/racquetball courts and bowling alley are a fun time year-round.

Several international volunteer organizations have local chapters in Drayton Valley. If you would like to volunteer, you’re sure to find the right fit. And there’s always room for coaches. Whether it’s hockey, boxing, volleyball, or gymnastics - you'll be welcomed whole-heartedly.

We have three professional health care centres and private clinics in town. The Drayton Valley Hospital & Care Centre offers 24-hour Emergency Care.

Drayton Valley is home to two Catholic schools and six public schools that are all part of the Wild Rose School Division. The town also has programs for adult learning and continuing education.
