Parks and Trails

Green space is at the centre of life in Drayton Valley. Parks and open spaces allow residents and visitors to enjoy the outdoors, whether they’re relaxing after work  or pursuing an active lifestyle. Our parks also have modern and safe playground equipment for children. Open spaces and parks are located throughout the town, so all residents can easily access them. The walking trails connect all of the parks to one another.

Fourteen kilometres of paved walking paths wind through the town of Drayton Valley. The paths are lit, with benches along the way. Some walking paths lead into the Brazeau County countryside. The Rotary/Pembina Nordic Community Trails are beautiful for walking, hiking, cross country skiing or mountain biking. They range from less than 1 km to almost 3 km, so there’s a trail for everyone. Their beauty is remarkable.

The Drayton Valley RV Park is located in the Lions West Valley Park (next to the Omniplex) with direct access from Highway 22, an excellent location for visitors to all events in town.
