The Information Services Department is responsible for Record Management, administration of the FOIP legislation and technology infrastructure development.
The long-term goal for the Virtual Town Hall will be achieved through technological changes that will improve service while maintaining an equitable reduction in cost. The Virtual Town Hall will make services, account payments, queries and applications, available to residents on a 24-hour basis over the internet.
We are currently studying electronic document management for future implementation. This will reduce the quantity of paper documents that the municipality has to store. This will also enable us to make public documents available electronically.
